May 1st was quite a special day at Freebird. The Auction to raise money for the Crohn's Disease Charity ended at midday, and then nine hours later our daughter, Christine, presented us with our third Grand Daughter - Ebonie-Rose. Quite a day!
The auction raised just under £4000 which, added to the monies we'd raised at the Horton Lodge, gives us a grand total of a fantastic £5300! We'd just like to say to everybody who made the effort, and put their hands in their pockets in a such financially challenging climate, Thank You So Much. We'll be contacting the lucky winners in the next few days but bear with us, please, it's just got a little hectic round here!
Linda and I will be joining Tony and Deano Badham at St. Marks Hospital in the next few weeks to present them with the cheque and no doubt there will be a photographic record of the event.
In the next month or so we will be announcing the prizes available for an auction we will be holding to raise money for Help for Heroes, so if you were unsuccessful this time fear not, we still want your money.
Oh, and Ebonie-Rose has just gargled something which I'm assuming translates as 'Thank You', as well!
